Easter Sunday

Be our guest at Easter services at Solid Rock Church! Worship service from 10 AM to 12 PM.

He is risen! He is risen indeed! Easter is coming. We know that you could choose anywhere to spend your Easter, but as a congregation we would be honored to have you spend it with us. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. Solid Rock Church considers Easter to be one of the most important seasons of the year. Join us as we celebrate how special this holiday is and what makes it such a joyous event for us, you, and the world. Plan on worshipping with us April 21st from 10 AM until 12 PM.

Join us!

We at Solid Rock Church would love to see you and your family April 21st during our Easter service. Our services on Easter are special to us because they consist of presentations from different children's age groups, fantastic music, and a dramatic presentation from our own Pastor Larry Ragland. We promise to provide all worshipers with a powerful resurrection message from our Lord.

Did you Know?

-For Christians, Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion, where palm leaves and clothing were laid in his path.

-Palm Sunday is often celebrated with a procession and distribution of palm leaves.

-In some churches, the palms are saved and burnt into ashes to be used on Ash Wednesday of the next year.

-Palm Sunday is also called Passion Sunday. It is the last Sunday of Lent and first day of Holy Week.

-Holy Week is the celebrated during the week leading up to Easter. It begins on Palm Sunday, continues on to Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and then finally, Easter Sunday.

-The date of Passover is variable as it is dependent on the phases of the moon, and thus Easter is a movable feast.

Solid Rock is a growing church in this area. Many new dynamic ministries have been, and continue to be created to help minister to the lives of people. In the midst of all the exciting activity we recognize that church health is more important than numerical growth and church programs. We believe God has a specific plan and purpose for each individual’s life. The ministries at Solid Rock are a reflection of our heart to help people of all economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds in the Jefferson City area, also around the World.
